'The 50': Prince Narula, Karan Patel slam influencers, YouTubers

Prince Narula, Ridhi Dogra, and Karan Patel recently criticized YouTubers and social media influencers for allegedly damaging the entertainment industry.

During a meal on The 50, Narula said, "Ever since YouTubers were brought into the industry, the industry has gone downhill."

He added that these newcomers have diminished the value of those who have traditionally been part of this field.

Narula further criticized influencers, saying they have gained undue hype by collaborating with film industry professionals and singers.

He said, "People from the film industry said, go make reels with them, their (influencers') hype increased, your songs will become hits, their (influencers') value increased."

"They can't act for more than 12 seconds. Put them in front of a camera, and they can't even speak properly."

Dogra agreed with Narula's criticism, saying, "There's just one thing they lack, ethics."

She added that actors have to work hard while influencers just get hype.

Patel also shared his thoughts on the matter, stating that when they started their careers, there weren't as many options for fame.

He emphasized that they had to work hard to reach where they are today.
