T20 World Cup Prize Money: The wait of cricket fans is about to end. From February 7, 2026, the biggest epic in cricket is ie T20 World Cup 2026 is starting. 20 teams will compete in this tournament which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. In this competition, money will literally rain on the winning team, and the runner-up team will also get silver.

20 percent increase in total prize money

Although the ICC is yet to make an official announcement, various reports estimate this year’s total prize money to be $13.5 million (roughly Rs. 120.37 crore). This year the prize money has been increased by 20% compared to the 2024 World Cup. This amount will be distributed not only to the finalist teams, but to all 20 participating teams based on their performance.

ICC has made special efforts to make the T20 World Cup 2026 grander. The tournament will start from 7th February and will end on 8th March 2026 with the final match. A total of 55 matches will be played in the full tournament. Interestingly, as the Indian team (Team India) will enter the field as the ‘defending champions’, the eyes of fans around the world are focused on the performance of Team India.

With 20 teams participating, teams like Afghanistan, USA and Ireland are all set to shock the big nations. Along with the battle for the trophy on the field, this ‘huge’ prize money is also showing great excitement among the players.
