Kota: A private bus driver and conductor were questioned on Tuesday night after a bus left without taking three passengers, including a woman, who had booked advance tickets to travel from Kota to Bengaluru.
According to sources, the private bus travelling from Murdeshwar to Bengaluru was expected to stop at the Kota–Manuru bus stop on Tuesday evening. However, the driver reportedly did not halt at the designated stop and instead stopped a short distance ahead, leaving the waiting passengers behind.
After waiting for a long time, the tired passengers approached the bus and questioned the driver. It is alleged that the bus conductor intervened and used abusive language against the woman and the youths. Angered by the conductor’s behaviour, the passengers informed their family members. Soon, local residents rushed to the spot and stopped the bus near the Kota petrol bunk, leading to a heated verbal exchange between the conductor and locals.
Kota police later arrived at the scene, intervened to defuse the situation, and ensured that the advance ticket amount paid by the passengers was refunded.
The three passengers later continued their journey to Bengaluru by another bus.
