Badshah to become 1st Indian rapper in NBA All-Star game

Indian hip-hop star Badshah has been confirmed for the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game 2026, becoming the first Indian rapper to participate in the event.
The game is set for February 13 (local time), at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities.

Badshah will make his debut, representing India alongside other celebrities from music, film, television, and sports.
The rapper is known for his larger-than-life persona and cross-cultural appeal.
His participation in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game comes after a year of significant achievements, including launching his own pizza and vodka brands.
Badshah wants to 'take Indian hip-hop center court'
Statement
Speaking about his participation, Badshah said in a statement, "I'm beyond excited to be part of this incredible event and take Indian hip hop center court during NBA All-Star Weekend."
"Basketball has always been one of my biggest passions, and playing on the same court as legends from the NBA, NFL, Hollywood, and music is truly an honor."

The 2026 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will also feature rapper GloRilla, producer DJ Mustard, comedian and actor Keegan-Michael Key, actor Simu Liu, Chinese star Dylan Wang, Emmy-winning actor Rome Flynn, and Olympic medalist Andre De Grasse.
The event will also see a halftime show by K-pop group CORTIS and the return of popular segments like the Green Carpet and in-game highlights.
The event will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video in India with coverage starting at 5:30am IST.
