The Railway Recruitment Board has invited applications from young people interested in government jobs for various positions such as Assistant TRD, Pointsman, Track Maintainer, and Assistant Loco Shed. Railway Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board, under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has started the application process for a total of 22195 posts under the CPC Pay Matrix Level 1 to 7. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply online for these positions.

These posts include Assistant TRD, Assistant Operations (Electrical), Assistant TL & AC, Assistant (S&T), Pointsman B, Assistant Track Machine, Track Maintainer, Assistant Bridge, Assistant Carriage & Wagon, Assistant Loco Shed (Electrical), Assistant P Way, Assistant Operations (Electrical), etc. Refer to the notification to find out the number of vacancies in each zone.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed the 10th standard from a recognized institution along with an ITI or equivalent qualification in the relevant trade or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) are eligible to apply.
Age Limit
Candidates between the ages of 18 and 33 years can apply for the above posts. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to reserved category candidates as per rules.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The CBT will be of 90 minutes duration and will consist of 25 questions each from General Science and Mathematics, 30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, and 20 questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs. Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for the PET. Document verification and a medical test will follow the PET.
Salary: Selected candidates will initially receive ₹18,000 per month.

Application Fee: A fee of ₹500 (₹250 for reserved categories) is payable. A portion of the fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the CBT.
