In the viral clip, the well-known car vlogger can be gleefully seen accepting nearly Rs 71 lakh in cash and 21 tola of gold as "daan" during his wedding ceremony in late 2025. Although the wedding took place in the late 2025, the video has now gained traction on social media. In the video, the Haryana YouTuber refers to the cash and gold as “daan,” a term commonly used for donation or voluntary gifting, rather than dowry, or “dahej”.
The video of Arun Panwar has garnered millions of views and stirred debates with many calling out the content creator, calling it a clear case of dowry, which is illegal in India under the Dowry Prohibition Act of 1961.
