Tezzbuzz Desk- The deadlock and uproar continued in the Lok Sabha even today, due to which the proceedings of the House were completely affected. Speaker Om Birla expressed deep displeasure over the uproar in the House and told the MPs that it is everyone’s collective responsibility to maintain decorum in the House. He clarified that if there is no discipline in the House, the decision making process and law making process will be disrupted.

The Speaker said that it is impossible to continue the proceedings in the current chaos. For this reason he adjourned the proceedings of the Lok Sabha till 12 noon. Speaker Om Birla appealed to the members to display peace and restraint to resolve their political differences, so that the functioning of Parliament can run smoothly.

Due to the deadlock in Parliament, important legislative proposals and discussions are being affected. Experts believe that continuous uproar and chaos adversely affects the democratic process and slows down the decisions taken in the public interest. This also raises the question whether MPs are performing their responsibilities and duties properly.

After the adjournment of the Parliament proceedings, now all eyes are on the next session, in which it has to be decided what measures should be adopted so that discipline and decorum can be maintained in the House. The Speaker asked officials to monitor and review the situation in the House and take necessary steps.

This development in the Lok Sabha indicates that political differences and uproar still remain the biggest challenge to parliamentary functioning. It remains to be seen how effectively Parliament will be able to perform its democratic duties in the upcoming sessions.
