Sarah Ferguson is planning to travel abroad and sort to "take stock" of her life and future plans after her latest humiliation in the newly released Epstein files, sources have claimed. The former Duchess of York is now titleless and basically homeless after the King axed her and her ex-husband's titles, as well as forcing them to move out of their home since 2008, Royal Lodge in Windsor.
While Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has found refuge in one of the King's properties within the Sandringham Estate, Fergie, as she is otherwise known, is left with few options for accommodation. Ms Ferguson's chances of finding temporary accommodation at one of her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's homes, are looking slim, with reports saying that she's faced with a "housing crisis".
But sources claimed that a move abroad was "imminent" on a temporary basis, with the former duchess wanting to gather whatever's left and return stronger.
The Daily Mail suggested that Ms Ferguson may be moving Down Under, where her sister, Jane Ferguson Luedecke, lives.
The outlet's royal editor, Rebecca English, said: "While no one is saying where she is going, a trip to Australia to visit her sister, Jane, where she has often gone to 'lick her wounds', may be a safe bet."
Ms Ferguson, however, is said to be determined to return to the UK and find a home to buy or rent in the Windsor area.
It comes as a PR expert said that Ms Ferguson, unlike her ex-husband, could make somewhat of a comeback in the future, only if she follows a particular strategy.
Renae Smith, founder of PR and branding agency The Atticism, told the Express that the former duchess should lay low and show "restraint, dignity, and distance".
She also advised her to steer clear of any "reinvention" plans she reportedly has and wait until the public are open to it.
Ms Smith explained: "For Fergie, the guidance would be to separate her identity from his as much as possible, but quietly."
