A UK construction company has collapsed into liquidation. With rising costs, the UK has seen a huge number of businesses filing for insolvency in recent years. Following the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis, some firms have been forced to shut.
Spectre Construction and Development LTD, which is registered in Plymouth, appointed liquidators on January 30. They will be from Anderson Brookes Insolvency Practitioners Limited and a special resolution was passed so that the company be wound up voluntarily.
On Google, happy customers previously praised the work the company did. One person penned: "After contacting a total of four builders to give us a quote for some major renovations, we decided to go with Jake and his team at Spectre Construction.
"He stuck to all the prices he quoted, turned up on time, and kept us informed of everything as he went along, as with a lot of projects we changed our minds about certain aspects but Jake and his team took it all in their stride and gave us good advice.
"The disruption during the whole project was kept to a minimum, and at the end of each day he tidied up and made our house look as good as possible during such a big project.
"I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jake and his team at Spectre Construction, when you spend a large amount of money on a project, you want it done properly and professionally and we didn't go wrong with Jake. Thanks Jake and your team."
Another person penned: "Spectre Construction did a FANTASTIC job of converting our disused garage into part of the house, as a sound-proofed recording studio - in addition to removing an internal wall to open up the living space.
"Top quality work, excellent value and a pleasure to have working on site. Extremely well organised and on time every day without fail. Cannot recommend Jake and his team highly enough."
A different account wrote simply: "A star, first class service."
According to Companies House, the business was incorporated on April 27 2020.
