Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s video from a promotional event for their upcoming film, Do Deewane Seher Mein, has caught everyone’s attention, and it has a ‘Chennai’ connection. Obviously, everyone was quick to talk about the relationship rumours with Dhanush shortly after, and here’s all about it.

When a reporter mentioned, “Woh Chennai waale kuch sawaal pooch rahe the aapse (They were asking some Chennai related question to you)." What followed was quite funny, as Siddhant decided to jump in, and he went on to ask, “Inse tha Woh Chennai waala yaa mujhse tha? (That Chennai question was for her or me?)"

Mrunal quickly cleared the air and highlighted that the question was obviously for Siddhant, but by then everyone was already smiling and laughing about it, and the reporters also said they were understanding everything.
The actress was clearly caught off guard, and she was all smiles throughout.
This moment comes at a time when there have been increased rumours around Mrunal dating superstar Dhanush, who is based out of Chennai. The reports first started doing rounds in August 2025 when they were snapped at the Son Of Sardaar 2 premiere. Ever since, their social media activity too, has drawn a lot of attention.
For example, Dhanush left a comment on Do Deewane Seher Mein’s teaser video and wrote, “Looks and sounds good." Mrunal’s replied to the comment soon after with some emojis. In fact, there were rumours that the duo was planning to tie the knot on February 14, 2026, but they were later dismissed.
Amid all the speculation, neither of the actors have addressed these relationship rumours, but a couple of days ago, Mrunal’s Instagram caption did catch everyone’s attention as many thought that it was an indirect commentary on the rumours. She had written, “grounded, glowing, and unshaken."
If that’s not enough, there was a viral video of Dhanush and Mrunal getting married doing rounds, and it also featured actors Thalapathy Vijay, Dulquer Salmaan and Ajith Kumar, among others. The said video claimed that the two tied the knot on January 22, in Chennai. However, fact-check and a closer look revealed that it was an AI-generated video.
