UGC NET Result 2026 OUT: Big news for candidates who appeared in the UGC NET December Session 2025-26. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET Result 2026. Candidates who have been waiting for the results for a long time can now check their results online. A total of 1,17,058 candidates have qualified for PhD only in this exam. To view the result, candidates need to visit the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

How was the result?
The UGC NET December 2025 result was released on February 4, 2026. A total of 7,35,614 candidates appeared in this exam. Of these, 5,108 candidates were found eligible for JRF and Assistant Professor. 54,713 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor and PhD admission. And 1,17,058 candidates were declared eligible for PhD only.
The UGC NET December 2025 exam was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This exam was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. This exam was conducted for a total of 85 subjects across the country. The exam lasted for six days and was conducted in 11 shifts. It was held at 663 examination centers across 283 cities in India. A total of 9,93,702 candidates registered for the exam.
Of the registered candidates, the majority were women. A total of 5,85,400 women appeared for the exam, representing approximately 58.91 percent. There were 4,08,245 male candidates, making up about 41.08 percent. Additionally, 57 candidates identified as belonging to the third gender.
