Singapore, renowned for its strict laws and low crime rates, has been named the world’s best city for women traveling alone, according to a survey by global service TrustedHousesitters.
The city-state emerged as the top destination for female travelers with a safety index score of 77.5 out of 100 points, thanks to its speedy Wi-Fi service and reliable public transport.
The Southeast Asian city boasts a tropical climate, modern infrastructure and abundant green spaces, making it an ideal holiday destination for travelers seeking sun, sea and outdoor activities.
According to data from TrustedHousesitters, searches for “Singapore holidays” have risen by 27% over the past month compared with the same period last year.
To compile the list, TrustedHousesitters analyzed several factors, including crime and safety levels, public transport wait times, broadband speeds and solo travel search trends.
New York City ranked as the second best destination for women traveling alone, followed by Dubai.
Other destinations ranked among the top 10 global solo travel destinations for women include Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi, and Bangkok.
