Manchester car fire: Traffic stopped on major road after vehicle bursts into flames

A car has burst into flames in South Manchester, sparking traffic chaos on a major road and bringing motorists to a complete standstill.
The car caught fire on the A5103 - where Princess Road merges to the Princess Parkway, near the M60 slip - at around 8.25am. Footage from the scene shows the car alight on the side of the road, with smoke billowing from the completely burnt-out vehicle. One lane is currently blocked on the main road, with heavy traffic building on the approach to the incident. The Daily Express has contacted Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service for comment.
