Pakistani captain Salman Aga comes to India? (Photo-X/ICC)
T20 World Cup 2026 Captains Photoshoot: Just before the start of T20 World Cup 2026, ICC organized a special Captains Photoshoot, photos of which have gone viral on social media. In this group photo, the captains of all the 20 teams are seen together, which also includes India's captain Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistan's captain Salman Ali Aga. This surprised many fans and the question arose whether the Pakistani captain had come to India for the Captain photoshoot?
Pakistani captain Salman Aga comes to India?
Actually, this photo has not been taken together. The tournament is being played jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 7 February to 8 March. Therefore, ICC organized the Captain's Carnival and photoshoot at two different places. Captains of 12 teams gathered in Mumbai, while the remaining 8 captains were present in Colombo. Captains like Suryakumar Yadav (India), Rashid Khan (Afghanistan), Mitchell Santner (New Zealand), Aiden Markram (South Africa), Shay Hope (West Indies) were included in the Mumbai event. Captains like Salman Ali Aga (Pakistan), Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka), Mitchell Marsh (Australia), Scott Edwards (Netherlands) had arrived in Colombo.
Later, ICC edited the photos of both the places and made a single image, in which all the captains are seen in one frame with the trophy. This method was adopted because the entire Pakistan team is playing its group matches in Sri Lanka only, and is not coming to India due to political reasons. That is, Salman Ali Aga spoke to the media in Colombo itself and participated in the photoshoot. Now everyone's eyes are on the exciting matches starting from 7th February, where fans will get to see many matches.
India-Pakistan match will not happen!
The Pakistan team has not only refused to come to India, but the team will also not play the group stage match against India. This match is to be played on February 15 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, but the Pakistan government has made it clear that their team will not play against India. This decision has been taken in support of Bangladesh, which has been thrown out of this tournament.
