The makers have officially announced the release date of Mirzapur: The Movie. The film will be released in cinemas on September 4, 2026. With the poster, the makers wrote, “Mirzapur The Movie ka swagat Karen ke liye taiyyar ho jaayein.” This clearly indicates that the bloodshed, power struggle, and revenge of Mirzapur will be shown on an even bigger scale this time.
The popular characters from the series are returning in the film. Ali Fazal will be seen in the role of Guddu Pandit, while Pankaj Tripathi will once again strengthen the story as Kaleen Bhaiya. Divyendu Sharma’s return is also considered special, as the character of Munna Bhaiya was one of the most loved by the audience.
Mirzapur: The Movie is directed by Gurmeet Singh. The film is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner. The story and screenplay of the film have been written by Puneet Krishna, who also gave the web series its unique identity.
