In this petition, Vivek has demanded from the court that without his permission, no person or organization should be able to use his name, voice, photo or anything to his identity. In this matter, Vivek says that many fake accounts on social media are misusing his name and picture and wrong things are being done with the help of his identity.

Vivek Oberoi has also said in his petition that without the permission of the actor, his son was using his identity to access the goods. The actor also told the court that his image is being harmed through postcards, posters, videos and posts on social media.
