Gold-Silver Rate 6 Feb: On Friday, February 6, a fall in the prices of gold and silver was seen in the domestic futures market. Gold futures with expiry of March 5, 2026 opened at Rs 1,48,889 (per 10 grams) on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). At the same time, on the last trading day i.e. the last day, gold had closed trading at Rs 1,50,316.

The three-day meeting of the 6-member Monetary Policy Committee of RBI started from February 4, 2026 and is ending on February 6, 2026. At 9:45 am on February 6, gold with March 5 expiry was trading at Rs 1,48,836 per 10 grams on MCX, a fall of about Rs 1,450 from the previous close. MCX Gold had reached a high of Rs 1,49,531 in early trade.

Silver price also declined

The price of silver with expiry of March 5, 2026 on MCX was Rs 2,35,505 (per kg), which is about Rs 8,310 less than the previous day’s closing price. Silver had reached a high of Rs 2,37,500 in early trade.

• In Delhi and Mumbai, 10 grams of silver is being sold for Rs 2,750. 
• Customers will have to spend Rs 27,500 to buy 100 grams of silver. 
• The price of 10 grams of silver in Chennai is Rs 2,800.
