Vadodara. Women’s Premier League 2026 proved to be not just a celebration of cricket but also of money and awards. Smriti Mandhana’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) performed brilliantly and won the title by defeating Jemimah Rodrigues’ Delhi Capitals (DC). Along with this victory, awards were also showered on RCB players and team staff. At the same time, Delhi Capitals, which became the runner up, also got an honor of Rs 3 crore.

For the Delhi team, which batted first, Liezel Lee scored 37 runs in 30 balls and Shefali Verma scored 20 runs in 13 balls. Wolvaardt scored 44 runs in 25 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes. Apart from this, captain Jemimah Rodrigues played an inning of 57 runs in 37 balls with the help of eight fours. Chinelle Henry played an unbeaten inning of 35 runs in 15 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. Delhi scored 203 runs after losing four wickets in 20 overs. For RCB, Lauren Bell gave only 19 runs in four overs, but did not get any wicket. Sayali Satghare, Arundhati Reddy and Nadine de Klerk got one wicket each.
In reply, RCB got the first blow on nine runs. Grace Harris, who was in excellent form, was out after scoring nine runs. After this, captain Mandhana and Georgia Wall made a winning partnership of 165 runs in 92 balls. Wall played an inning of 79 runs in 54 balls with the help of 14 fours. Richa Ghosh was out after scoring six runs. Nadine remained unbeaten after scoring seven runs and Radha remained unbeaten after scoring 12 runs. RCB achieved the target in 19.4 overs. Chinal took two wickets for Delhi. Apart from this, Nandini and Minnu got one wicket each.
Who shined in the awards?
Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine showed their mettle at the awards in both the final and the season. Mandhana received awards like Player of the Match, Most Sixes of the Match, and Orange Cap. Whereas Sophie Devine won Most Valuable Player of the Season, Match IQ of the Season and Purple Cap. In the team awards, RCB received Rs 6 crore, limited edition watch and winning trophy for the victory. Delhi Capitals, who became the runner up, also got Limited Edition War, Rs 3 crore and Runner Up Shield.
