Mumbai: Actor Shahid Kapoor was briefly forced to step down from the stage after being mobbed by fans during the song launch event of his upcoming film ‘O Romeo’ in Mumbai on Friday.
The actor later returned to the stage once security brought the situation under control.
The makers hosted an event in the city to launch a track titled ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ from the film, but the evening soon took an unexpected turn when several fans rushed to the stage, crowding and mobbing the actor.
Amid the chaos, the actor stepped down from the stage due to safety concerns, but returned shortly after security personnel had brought the crowd under control.
‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ featuring Shahid and Disha has been receiving attention for its energetic vibe.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, ‘O Romeo’ is scheduled to hit theatres on February 13, 2026.
