A YouTuber who embarked on a 72 hour journey to explore some of the UK's top motorway service stations has lavished praise on one particular venue in Gloucestershire. Gavin Wren dedicated three days to traversing the UK's road network, visiting the 10 best service stations as voted for by the public.
The second pit stop on Gavin's epic road trip was Gloucestershire Services on the M5, which he lauded in his YouTube video for sourcing food "from a 130 different producers within 30 miles of the service station".
Gloucestershire Services clinched the top spot in a Which? survey last year, where the public were asked to vote for their favourite service stations across the UK. It scooped an impressive 85% of the vote.

In a statement on their website celebrating the service station's victory, Which? hailed the venue as a "true destination service station", praising it for being not only "easy on the eye" but also for its high-quality produce that even attracts locals for shopping or dog walking.
Before setting foot in the service station, Gavin confessed: "I had no idea what was in store for me once I'd parked the car." Upon arrival, he was particularly taken with the farm shop, describing it as "massive", "nuts" and "on another level".
Adding to the YouTuber's fascination was the service station's access to nature. He remarked: "Yet again once I'd walked out the back doors of the service station there were hidden gems to be found.
"It's crazy, there's this hidden lane. Just 10 minutes walking and it's a whole different world. This is beautiful, it's just like being in the countryside."
However, whilst departing the service station, Gavin confessed he'd spotted one drawback to his visit at the Gloucestershire stop – the eye-watering prices.
He said: "The food was incredible and it was incredibly expensive. I spent £7 or £8 on some strawberries and a drink."
Beyond Gloucestershire, Gavin's road trip took him to various other services including Beaconsfield on the M40, Skelton Lake on the M1, Cairn Lodge on the M74, and Rugby on the M6.
After completing his mammoth tour, he revealed one motorway services had emerged as the clear winner in his top 10 – Tebay on the M6, which he declared so impressive he'd happily spend his holidays there.
He said: "The OG bougie service station. Amazing food, a beautiful hotel, and the most incredible countryside to go for a little wander behind it. Honestly, this place can't be beaten, and I would genuinely be happy going on holiday there."
