Patna. After the arrest of independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, his health suddenly deteriorated in the early hours of Saturday. After this, he was brought to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for medical examination, where his eyes were closed while being taken on a stretcher. Tight security arrangements were made in the hospital premises to deal with any situation.

Pappu Yadav was arrested by Patna Police late on Friday night in an old case of 1995. This action was taken under sections 468, 506 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. Soon after his arrest, information about his deteriorating health came to light, after which he was first taken to IGIMS and then to PMCH.

High-voltage drama at home before arrest-
Before the arrest, high-voltage drama was witnessed till late night at Pappu Yadav’s residence in Patna. As soon as he reached Patna from Delhi after the end of the Lok Sabha session, a heavy police force reached his house. Officers in civil dress, police and senior officers from several police stations were present on the spot. Police officials say that this action was taken on the basis of the warrant issued by the court.

Allegation of political conspiracy-
Pappu Yadav has termed his arrest as a political conspiracy. He alleged that the police did not show him the arrest warrant and only produced documents to property attachment. He also said that he feared that criminals, not police, had come and his life could be in danger.

Protest by supporters, argument with police-
Pappu Yadav’s supporters protested fiercely during his arrest. Some workers climbed onto police vehicles and started raising slogans. During this, there was a heated argument between the police and the supporters. Pappu Yadav told the media that he is ready to appear in the court himself in the morning, but will not go to the police station. However, the police did not listen to him and he was taken into custody late at night.

What is the whole matter-
This case is to Gardnibagh police station area. The complainant is landlord Vinod Bihari Lal, who alleges that Pappu Yadav fraudulently rented the house and converted it into a political office in the name of personal use. As the controversy escalated, charges of cheating, forgery, criminal intimidation and criminal conspiracy were leveled against him. The case was pending in the MP-MLA special court and due to his non-appearance, the court issued an arrest order.

Arrests are being linked to recent issues-
Pappu Yadav says that in recent times he had raised questions on the government regarding the death of NEET student in Patna and matters to girls hostel, that is why efforts are being made to suppress him. At present he is in police custody and is to be produced in the court on Saturday. Now everyone’s eyes are on whether he gets bail or his custody is extended.
