Elephants have once again attacked in Gomiya block of Bokaro district. Two people have died in this attack. With this, the number of deaths in elephant attacks in Gomiya block has increased to five in two days.

There was chaos in the village due to elephant attack in Gangpur village under Mahuatand Panchayat of Gomiya block. A grandfather and grandson died tragically in the elephant stampede, while three others were seriously injured. The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Somar Sao and his 8-year-old grandson Aman Kumar (Ayush). At the same time, 10-year-old Rahul Kumar (grandson of Somar Sao) and Shanti Devi (daughter-in-law of Somar Sao) have been seriously injured in this incident. The injured are being treated in the hospital. Apart from this, 10 year old Rashi Kumari was also injured in this incident.

According to the villagers, a herd of three elephants entered the village at 8:30 pm on Thursday night and created a ruckus by vandalizing the house. Meanwhile, elephants attacked the people present in the house, due to which two people died on the spot. Villagers said that one person is still missing, who is being searched. It is feared that the elephants have taken him with them. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the incident. According to the villagers, there was no electricity in the village and taking advantage of the darkness, the elephants broke the doors and walls of the house. Everyone was inside the house when elephants entered the house and attacked.

Three people of the same family died

Three people of the same family, including husband and wife, were crushed to death in an elephant attack in Badki Pannu village of Gomiya block. This painful incident happened around 3 o’clock on Wednesday night, when a herd of five elephants entered the village and reached the courtyard of a house. A day earlier, three people had died in an elephant attack in Badi Pannu village in Gomia block. After the attack, Gangwa Karmali, who was running out of the house to save his life, was thrashed by the elephants by wrapping them in their trunk, due to which he died on the spot. Hearing the screams of his husband, his wife Kamali Devi came out, but the elephants crushed her too. In this way, the husband and wife died tragically on the spot. During this time, Gangava Karmali’s sister-in-law Bhagiya Devi also tried to escape, but an elephant crushed her too, due to which she also died.
