Patna: After the arrest of independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav in a 35-year-old case on Friday night, the reaction of two big leaders of the Congress Party has come to light. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have vented their anger on BJP and the state government after the arrest of Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav.

Rahul Gandhi shared the post through X, in which he mentioned the case of death of NEET student in Patna and called the arrest of Pappu Yadav as political vendetta. Rahul Gandhi wrote in his post, ‘The death of an NEET aspirant student in Patna under suspicious circumstances and the entire subsequent action has once again exposed the deep rot of the system.’

His arrest today is clearly a political vendetta to intimidate and suppress every voice demanding accountability.
Rahul Gandhi also wrote, ‘The most worrying fact is that this incident does not seem to be limited to any one case. This points to a sinister conspiracy and a dangerous pattern, where more daughters are becoming victims and the powers that be are turning a blind eye to this horrific truth. This is not a question of politics, it is a question of justice. This is a question of respect and safety of the daughter of Bihar.
