A Controversial Visit
Recently, Aamir Khan made headlines when he traveled from Mumbai to visit Arijit Singh's family home in Jiaganj, located in the Murshidabad district. This visit came shortly after Arijit announced his retirement from playback singing, igniting much speculation.
However, the visit took a controversial turn when both Aamir and Arijit were accused of partaking in unauthorized activities. Reports surfaced that they entered Rani Dhanya Kumari College late at night, where they allegedly played badminton and recorded videos, leading to a flurry of social media attention.
The college's principal, Ajoy Adhikari, took to social media to share videos purportedly showing the two celebrities entering the premises after 1 a.m. without prior approval. He claimed they spent approximately an hour and 20 minutes at the college before departing around 2:25 a.m.
Adhikari's posts quickly gained traction online, but he later removed them, stating he felt compelled to do so. He expressed his concerns about the celebrities' actions, questioning whether their fame granted them the right to disregard institutional protocols.
Local sources indicated that Aamir and Arijit were accompanied by local leaders during their visit and allegedly pressured the college's night guard to gain access.
When reached for comment, Adhikari stated he did not wish to escalate the situation further and had not decided on filing a police complaint, citing external pressures to retract his initial statements.
As of now, neither Aamir Khan nor Arijit Singh has publicly addressed the allegations surrounding their late-night college visit. Meanwhile, Aamir's visit to Arijit's home has led to various rumors, with some suggesting he sought to persuade Arijit to return to playback singing, while others speculated about a potential collaboration.
