Netherlands had the upper hand till the 18th over, but Faheem hit a six on the first ball of the 19th over. However, his catch was dropped on the second ball. After getting the lease of life, Faheem turned the match towards Pakistan by hitting two sixes. He scored unbeaten 29 runs on 11 balls and was named player of the match.
Pakistan had got the target of 148 runs
In the match played in Colombo on Saturday, Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan scored 47 runs, which was 3 runs short of fifty. Saim Ayub scored 24 runs. Paul van Meekeren and Aryan Dutt took 2-2 wickets for Netherlands. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl, and the Netherlands, batting first, were all out for 147 runs in 19.5 overs. Captain Scott Edwards scored the highest score of 37 runs. Salman Mirza took maximum 3 wickets for Pakistan.
