Mumbai. Former captain Rohit Sharma, who has retired from Test and T20, and star batsman Virat Kohli have slipped from A+ to B category in the contract list of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This time no player’s name is in the A+ category. Test captain Shubman Gill, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have been placed in the A category of the central contract, while T20 captain Surya Kumar Yadav is in the B category.
BCCI approved the list of centrally contracted players for the year 2025-26 in which a total of 30 male players have been included:

B class: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer.
C class: Akshar Patel, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dubey, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Dhruv Jurail, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Sai Sudarshan, Ravi Bishnoi, Ruturaj Gaikwad.
