Fans of One Direction have received exciting news as Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are set to reunite for a highly-anticipated Netflix docuseries.

The three-part series, produced by Campfire Studios, will follow the former bandmates as they embark on a road trip across the United States, reconnecting after more than a decade apart.

Contrary to fan speculation, the producer confirmed that the series is not a One Direction documentary. “This is a show about Zayn and Louis as individuals, who are reconnecting and rediscovering life together,” the team said. “It focuses on their friendship and experiences, not the band itself.”

Filming for the series reportedly concluded in 2025. It is slated for release in the second half of 2026, giving fans a closer look at the personal journey of two of pop music’s biggest stars.

The project promises an intimate glimpse into their dynamic, showcasing moments of humor, reflection, and adventure as they explore America together.

Earlier, Zayn Malik has announced his fifth studio album, KONNAKOL, set for release on April 17, 2026, marking one of the most personal and culturally rooted chapters of his career. The album will be introduced this Friday with the release of its lead single, “Die for Me,” a track already generating anticipation for its emotional intensity and sonic depth.

The title KONNAKOL is drawn from an ancient South Asian vocal percussion tradition, where rhythm is expressed through spoken syllables rather than instruments. Speaking about the project, Malik said, “KONNAKOL in its definition is the act of creating percussive sounds with one’s voice, but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper. It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed.” For him, the concept reflects a return to instinct, identity, and ancestral sound, with the album widely seen as a tribute to his Pakistani heritage, placing South Asian rhythm and spirituality at the heart of a modern pop record.
