Due to the Kon-Windhamganj road being dilapidated for a long time, big vehicles including two-wheelers were becoming victims of accidents and people were risking their lives while travelling, for which the local people and businessmen had raised their voice several times for the construction of the road, which was successful due to the efforts of the local public representatives and the Sadar MLA. In the sequence of which, Sadar MLA Bhupesh Chaubey lit a lamp on the picture of Mother India and Mother Saraswati Devi and performed Havan Puja as per the rituals in the direction of Navnirman.
On this occasion, MLA Bhupesh Choubey, while addressing the gathering, said that despite the local people facing bad roads for a long time, you all elected us as MLAs again, this is a proof of your patience and trust. I assure that this patience of the people of the area will never go waste.
He further said that in today’s era, roads are the backbone of development and bad roads badly affect the life of the people. He understands the pain of the people very well. He emphatically requested the present gathering of people and public representatives not to let the water from the house go on the road, which could spoil the road, for this you must make a soak pit so that the water does not go on the road.
Giving clear instructions to the officers and employees associated with the construction work, the MLA said that the road construction work should be completed within the stipulated time period and any kind of negligence in quality will not be tolerated. He also said that the construction work will be monitored by the people of the area themselves and if any problem arises, they will get full support from the public.
Former Legislative Council member Jayaprakash Chaturvedi, present in the program, said that development work is going on continuously in the BJP government. He assured that very soon the people of the area will get the gift of a strong and concrete road.
Chief Development Officer Jagriti Awasthi also shared the pain of the area residents and said that you people have been forced to travel on this bad road for years. She told that when she was coming to the program, due to the bad condition of the road, she had to repeatedly ask the driver when she would be able to reach. This situation is really worrying and its solution is necessary.
Hundreds of local people including block chief Ruby Mishra, Sarita Singh, block development officer Jitendra Nath Dwivedi, assistant development officer, former divisional president Shashank Shekhar Mishra, Sunil Jaiswal, Banshidhar, area panchayat members, village heads, BJP workers were present in the Bhoomi Pujan program.
