BCCI Player Grades: The 2025-2026 central contracts of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, i.e. BCCI, may be announced soon. However, this time some major changes may be seen in central contracts. India’s legendary players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma now play only ODI format.
In such a situation, he may be demoted to central contract. Now news has come that this time only three players will remain in A category. According to a report, this time only Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are going to be in A category. Bumrah and Jadeja were earlier in the A+ category. Virat and Rohit can be kept in B category.
30 players will get contracts
Earlier, Virat and Rohit were in A+ category. Overall, this time 30 players are going to get the central contract of BCCI. A total of 11 players including Virat and Rohit are going to get B category contracts. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had taken retirement first from T20 in 2024 and then from Test in 2025.
Since then, both the players play only ODI format for the Indian team. However, Rohit and Virat are also in good form. Kohli and Rohit’s target is to play the 2027 World Cup, so the players are taking special care of their fitness.
