Money Vanishing from Your UPI? Stop All Recurring Payments Instantly Using This Official Government Website

Have you ever received a sudden message saying money was deducted from your UPI account without making any payment? Many users experience this problem every month when amounts like ₹100, ₹300, ₹500 or even ₹1,000 are automatically deducted for subscriptions they no longer use. These deductions usually happen because of UPI AutoPay mandates that remain active even after deleting the app or stopping the service manually.

Popular services such as OTT platforms, mobile recharge apps, loan EMIs, and utility services often use AutoPay for recurring payments. Over time, people forget about these subscriptions and continue losing money unknowingly. To solve this problem, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced an official portal where users can view and cancel all their active UPI AutoPay mandates in one place.

This government-backed portal allows you to manage and stop unwanted subscriptions safely without visiting multiple payment apps.

What is UPI AutoPay and Why It Becomes a Problem?

UPI AutoPay is a feature that allows automatic recurring payments for subscriptions and services. Once you approve a mandate, money is deducted from your bank account at fixed intervals such as monthly or yearly.

While this system is designed for convenience, it becomes problematic when:

  • Users forget about old subscriptions

  • Apps are uninstalled but AutoPay remains active

  • Free trials convert into paid plans

  • Small deductions go unnoticed every month

Over time, these small amounts can turn into a significant financial loss. Many users only realize the issue after checking their bank statement carefully.

Government Portal to Manage All AutoPay Mandates

To help users track and control their recurring payments, NPCI has launched an official UPI help portal that displays all AutoPay mandates linked to your mobile number and bank account.

This portal is completely secure and government-operated. It shows:

  • Name of the service or app

  • Amount being deducted

  • Frequency of payment

  • Start date of the mandate

  • Current status (active or paused)

From the same portal, users can pause or permanently cancel any unwanted AutoPay mandate.

Step-by-Step Guide to Stop All UPI AutoPay Mandates

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Open a browser on your mobile or laptop and search for upihelp.npci.

  2. You will be redirected to NPCI’s official UPI portal.

  3. Log in using the mobile number linked to your UPI account.

  4. Verify your identity using the OTP sent to your phone.

  5. After logging in, click on the option “Show My AutoPay Mandates.”

  6. A complete list of all active AutoPay subscriptions will appear on the screen.

Now you can review each mandate carefully and decide which ones you want to keep or cancel.

Which Services Will Appear in the AutoPay List?

The portal displays AutoPay mandates related to:

  • OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar

  • Mobile recharge and utility apps

  • Insurance premiums

  • Loan EMIs

  • Investment apps

  • Fitness and learning apps

  • Any service where UPI AutoPay was enabled

For example, if you once subscribed to a streaming service and stopped using it, you can now locate that mandate and cancel it instantly.

How to Disable Unwanted AutoPay Mandates

Once you open the list of mandates, you will see two options next to each subscription:

  • Pause – Temporarily stops the payment. You can resume it later if needed.

  • Revoke – Permanently cancels the AutoPay mandate. If you want the service again, you will have to set up a new mandate.

Choose the option according to your need and confirm your action.

Why This Portal is Important for Users

This centralized system saves time and prevents financial leakage. Instead of checking each payment app individually, users can now manage everything from one secure government platform.

Key benefits:

  • One-click control of all subscriptions

  • Safe and government-backed portal

  • No need to uninstall apps or visit banks

  • Full transparency of recurring payments

  • Prevents unnecessary monthly expenses

Conclusion

UPI AutoPay is a useful feature but can become a hidden drain on your money if not monitored. Thanks to NPCI’s official portal, users now have complete control over their recurring payments. With just a few clicks, you can identify and stop all unwanted subscriptions and protect your bank balance from silent deductions.

Every UPI user should check their AutoPay mandates regularly to avoid unnecessary losses and maintain financial discipline.
