This year, Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Amrit Udyan Winter Annual Edition 2026, after which it was opened to the public. How long will Amrit Udyan remain open?

Amrit Udyan will be open to the general public from February 3, 2026 to March 31, 2026. People can visit six days a week, while the garden will remain closed on Mondays. The visiting hours are from 10 AM to 6 PM, with the last entry at 5 PM. In addition, different days have been designated for some special categories at Amrit Udyan. For example, March 3 is for defense personnel, March 5 for senior citizens, March 10 for women and tribal women's self-help groups, and March 13 for persons with disabilities. On these days, people from the respective categories will be able to visit the garden with special facilities.

What are the rules for entry and booking?

Entry to Amrit Udyan is completely free, but online booking is mandatory. Tickets can only be booked through the official website visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in. This year, the facility to book tickets on the spot is not available. Booking for any date will close at 10 AM the previous day, so it is necessary to book a slot in advance. All visitors will enter and exit through Gate Number 35, located near the intersection of North Avenue and Rashtrapati Bhavan. A free shuttle bus service will be available from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate Number 35. This service will run every 30 minutes from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The last shuttle bus will depart at 4:00 PM.

What is prohibited in Amrit Udyan?

Due to security and safety reasons, certain items are strictly prohibited in Amrit Udyan. Food and beverages, paan, gutkha, cigarettes, backpacks, cameras and video cameras, weapons, and ammunition are strictly prohibited. Visitors violating these rules may be denied entry or face consequences.

What can you bring to Amrit Udyan?

Visitors are allowed to bring mobile phones, electronic keys, wallets or handbags, water bottles, milk bottles for small children, and umbrellas into Amrit Udyan. Drinking water, restrooms, and first-aid facilities will also be available within the garden premises.
