Russia Ufa University: There was an atmosphere of panic in a university hostel in Ufa city of Russia when at least six people, including four Indian students, were injured in an unprovoked knife attack. According to reports, the Indian Embassy in Moscow has informed about the attack on the social media platform X. This incident took place in the sports hall located in the hostel of foreign students of a university in Bashkortostan Republic of Russia. The statement of the Indian Embassy has come a few hours after the reports in the local media. The federal health ministry said four people injured in the attack were undergoing treatment. The condition of one of them is serious, while the condition of three others is moderate.

Russia’s Interior Ministry said that according to preliminary reports, a teenager armed with a knife broke into the dormitory of the State Medical University in Ufa in Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan, attacked students living there and stabbed several of them.
According to reports, “the attacker resisted arrest, during which two police officers were stabbed. In addition, the suspect also physically injured himself.”
