Ireland captain Paul Stirling has won the toss and elected to bowl against Sri Lanka in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning
“We will bowl first. The pitch looks drier and different from the last time we were here. Our preparations have been excellent, and we have spin options on our side,” Paul Stirling said.
Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka is happy to bat first.
“It is a good track, and anything over 170 would be good on this pitch. We have got a lot of areas covered coming to the World Cup. Happy to bat first in front of our fans,” Dasun Shanaka said.
