From handshake to bilateral series…Pakistan had placed 3 conditions, ICC rejected, gave ultimatum regarding IND-PAK match

ICC on Pakistan: Pakistan has suffered a big blow amid the drama of not playing the match against India in the ICC T-20 World Cup 2026. ICC has refused to accept all the conditions of Pakistan. ICC officials had a 5-hour meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board officials in Lahore on Sunday. After this, there is a possibility of a match between India and Pakistan on 15th February.

All conditions of Pakistan rejected

Two ICC officials Imran Khawaja and Mubashir Usmani reached Lahore on Sunday regarding the match between India and Pakistan. The meeting between ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and BCB Chairman Aminul Islam lasted for about 5 hours at the Gaddafi Stadium here. No clear decision could be taken in this meeting regarding the match, but ICC refused to accept all the demands of Pakistan.

Pakistan and Bangladesh had made these demands

During the meeting, Pakistan had put forward three conditions from the ICC. The first condition was that Pakistan’s share in ICC’s total earnings should be increased. Which the ICC refused to accept. Whereas the second demand was to restore the bilateral series between India and Pakistan. Also, after the match, players of both the teams should shake hands. But ICC rejected these conditions of Pakistan.

Apart from this, Bangladesh and Pakistan had raised the demand that a triangular series should be organized between the three countries. But ICC refused to accept this also.

Bangladesh may get to host a big tournament

Bangladesh will not have to suffer financial loss even if it is out of the T-20 World Cup. Last year, due to the riots in Bangladesh, Bangladesh did not even get to host the Women’s T20 World Cup. Therefore, ICC is also considering letting Bangladesh host the big tournament. According to the information, Bangladesh can be given the opportunity to host the Under-19 World Cup.
