The petrol station situated at the junction of Fibbersley and Noose Lane in Willenhall, West Midlands, has been closed for several years. However, some structures and their fuel pumps remain intact.

The site was put on the market with a guide price of £750,000 in May 2024, with a Rightmove listing indicating it was sold "subject to contract", as reported by Birmingham Live. Photographer @Luke2Explore recently visited the abandoned petrol station and shared the pictures on social media saying: "The forecourt repair shop was a service station and garage, being a petrol stop and vehicle repair shop. The garage closed and has been derelict for nearly a decade.

"Inside were some old things left behind, like the MGA 1200 modular exhaust gas analyser, an emissions testing machine, oil cans, a road dynamometer, and even some old essentials that were left in the shop where they sold chocolate, sweets, toys, oil fluids and your everyday items inside a petrol station today. The site is set to be demolished to make way for housing."

Rightmove said on their website: "The property has been used as a petrol filling station, and we understand there are underground tanks which have not been treated.

"We also understand that there is a pedestrian right of way through the site and further information on this can be provided if required."

The abandoned petrol station will likely be demolished. According to Rightmove, "there will be a restrictive covenant placed on the land so that it can only be used for residential purposes in the future, and it is likely to be demolished to make way for redevelopment".

Locals reminisced about the legendary petrol station with one woman saying her grandfather was "good friends" with the owners, who would allow her to "choose a sweet or chocolate to take home".

Another person said: "Such a shame, they should renovate it to its original style, we used to buy sweets from there as kids." A third one added: "Drive past here all the time. What a time capsule."
