MG Motor India has once again officially teased the upcoming MG Majestor ahead of its India launch on February 12. The SUV will sit above the MG Gloster in the brand’s lineup and is set to become its new flagship offering in the Indian market.
Bold and Muscular Exterior Design
The MG Majestor is shaping up to be one of the most striking additions to India’s premium SUV segment. At the front, it features a bold fascia highlighted by a Matrix-inspired grille, complemented by horizontally and vertically arranged LED DRLs and split headlamps that give it a unique road presence.
From the side, the SUV carries forward its muscular styling with 19-inch alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, and robust proportions that enhance its commanding stance.
Showcased at Major Platforms
MG has displayed the Majestor on several occasions, including at the Auto Expo last year, and it has also been spotted undergoing extensive road and off-road testing across India.
Premium Features and Technology
The Majestor is expected to come loaded with high-end features such as a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, wireless charging, a 12-speaker audio system, a powered tailgate, Level 2 ADAS, and electrically adjustable front seats with heating and massage functions. These enhancements are aimed at reinforcing its position as a true flagship SUV.
Engine and Performance
Under the bonnet, the Majestor is likely to carry forward the familiar 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine from the Gloster, generating 212.5 bhp and 478.5 Nm of torque. The engine is expected to be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, with both rear-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive variants on offer.
Expected Price
The MG Majestor is anticipated to be priced between Rs 39 lakh and Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).
