According to Znews on Feb. 7, internet users spotted Meng at the dealership and later shared their accounts online. The car she chose features a compact design suitable for women and was reportedly intended for her assistant, who had to remain at Hengdian World Studios in Zhejiang Province to work during the Lunar New Year. The gesture was widely seen as Meng’s way of compensating her colleague for the hardship and dedication involved.

Meng, 31, is managed by Yuekai Entertainment. She began her entertainment career in 2016 and currently operates her own studio alongside her management contract with Yuekai, as well as separate investment companies.

She is regarded as one of the industry’s hardest-working actresses, consistently taking on new film and television projects. Her upcoming productions in 2026 include the television series “Blossoms of Power” and “Tigers Sniff the Rose.” She is also expected to expand her presence in variety shows.

According to the South China Morning Postwhile China’s labor law does not require companies to provide year-end bonuses, the practice is widespread. In 2022, 74% of companies issued such bonuses, with the average payout reaching 21,900 yuan (about US$3,000) per person.
