Former Indian cricket star Shikhar Dhawan has expressed his excitement about being named the brand ambassador for the Delhi Sports Mahakumbh, a project initiated by the Delhi government. He conveyed his appreciation for his hometown and committed to supporting its youth. Delhi Khel Mahakumbh: A Government Initiative

The Delhi Khel Mahakumbh is a key program launched by the Delhi government aimed at fostering a robust sports culture and discovering talent at the grassroots level throughout the city. In a post on X, Rekha Gupta stated, "We are delighted to welcome international cricketer Shikhar Dhawan as the Brand Ambassador of Delhi Khel Mahakumbh. His dedication, discipline, and outstanding performances will inspire the youth of Delhi to advance in sports."


Highlights of Dhawan's Successful Career

Throughout his distinguished career, Dhawan has consistently delivered impressive performances. He has represented India in all formats, with One Day Internationals (ODIs) being his specialty. In 167 ODIs, he amassed 6,793 runs at an average of 44.1, including 17 centuries and 39 fifties.


In Test cricket, Dhawan formed memorable partnerships with Murali Vijay, scoring 2,315 runs in 34 matches at an average of 40.6, which included seven centuries and five half-centuries.


In the T20I format, he played 68 matches, accumulating 1,759 runs at an average of 27.9, with 11 fifties.
