Ingredients for making Semolina Cheela (Ingredients)

Semolina: 1 cup (any fine or thick)

Curd: ½ cup (fresh and slightly sour)

Vegetables: Finely chopped onion, tomato, capsicum, and carrot (as per your choice)

Green chilli and ginger: finely chopped

Green Coriander: chopped up

Spices: Salt (to taste), black pepper powder, and half teaspoon mustard

Oil/Ghee: to bake

Water: to prepare the solution

Prepare the solution: Mix semolina and curd well in a big vessel. Prepare a thick batter by adding water little by little. Keep in mind that the solution should neither be too thin nor too thick.

Resting Time: Semolina absorbs water, so cover this solution. 10-15 minutes leave for. This will make the chiles soft and meshy.

Vegetables and spices: Now add all the chopped vegetables, ginger, chilli, green coriander and spices to this solution and mix well. If the solution seems too thick, add some more water.

Bake Cheela: Heat a non-stick pan and apply some oil on it. Now pour a big spoonful of batter in the middle of the pan and spread it slowly in a round shape.

Make Crispies: Cook the cheela on medium flame until its edges start turning golden. Pour some oil on the edges and turn the cheela. Cook from the other side also until it turns light brown.
