New Delhi: The cases of online fraud are continuously increasing and people suffer the most due to the mistake of sharing OTP. Fraudsters sometimes deceive people by posing as bank officials and sometimes by posing as delivery or customer care agents. In view of this danger, Airtel has launched a new AI-powered fraud alert system for the safety of its customers, which can alert you in time during the call.

OTP fraud becomes a big problem
Nowadays, thugs are targeting people in new ways. They call on the pretext of delivery, bank update, KYC or customer support and talk quickly and ask for OTP from people. Many people share OTP without thinking, after which information to their bank account or digital services gets misused.

Airtel’s new system is based on Artificial Intelligence. If an OTP from the bank comes to your phone during a call, the system immediately alerts you, warning you that sharing OTP while on a call can be risky. This makes the user immediately understand that the matter may be suspicious.

    Special preparations to prevent fraud
The company says that this feature has been specially designed in such a way that it can identify possible fraudulent situations. Its purpose is that people become alert in time and can avoid becoming victims of fraud. This step is being considered an important initiative towards strengthening digital security.

Security features have already been implemented
In the last two years, Airtel has introduced several AI-based security measures. These include blocking dangerous and suspicious links, identifying spam calls and giving advance warning to users. According to the company, these steps have reduced the cases of fraud on the network.

Starting here for now, everyone will get it soon
This new AI fraud alert system of Airtel has currently been activated in Haryana. The company is implementing it in a phased manner and plans to make it available to customers across the country in the next two weeks.
