On the video streaming platform YouTube, you can watch different videos according to your preferences. Not only videos on YouTube, you also get the facility to listen to songs of your choice. This feature is currently being updated. The music feature on the Google-owned platform is currently being worked on and the company is working hard to change the user experience. YouTube is now rolling out a new AI-based playlist generator for premium users on Android and iOS. This feature will allow users to create playlists according to their preferences. Users only have to say what they want to hear and what their mood is. After this songs will be played according to the mood or a theme.

The new AI-based feature is part of Google’s growing efforts. Under which the streaming platform is trying to make music search more personalized. Also Google is adding more AI-based tools to its services. The launch marks YouTube Music’s increased focus on premium-specific features and a better listening experience. YouTube Music’s new AI Playlist feature allows premium users to instantly create music playlist mixes. In a post on social media, the company said that users of YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium can now create their own personalized playlists simply by describing an idea, mood or genre. Users have to select the AI playlist
The feature will be available in the Library tab of the YouTube Music app. Users have to tap on New button. AI has to select the playlist and then you have to select your favorite song by voice or text. Song selection options can range from general options like ‘indie pop’ or ’90s classic hits’ to ‘loud party music’ or ‘relax-quiet music for nights out’. Google has not yet clarified how much control users will have over playlists and how flexible the tool will be.

The announcement of the new feature comes as the company is focusing more on AI-based search on its streaming platform. Spotify launched a similar prompt-based playlist feature last month, and services like Amazon Music and Deezer have also added AI-based playlist and radio tools. YouTube Music has been testing a similar feature for some time now. The app has already launched Ask Music and experimented with prompt-based AI radio generation. But AI playlists are now being integrated directly into the playlist creation process, making it feel like a dedicated playlist builder rather than a radio-style alternative.
