For the last one month, the war that has been going on between the three important cricket boards of Asian cricket has attracted everyone's attention. The controversy that started with the exclusion of Mustafizur Rahman from the IPL reached Bangladesh's exclusion from the T20 World Cup 2026 and then Pakistan's boycott of the match against India. After several rounds of talks and discussions the situation has started changing. While the crisis over the India-Pakistan match has ended, Bangladesh has also been forgiven for its mistake. But Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is eyeing to resolve the issue which is very important for it – improving relations with BCCI.

India-Pakistan match will become a platform for talks

Only after Bangladesh was thrown out of the T20 World Cup, Pakistan had decided to boycott the match against India. Incidentally, the Bangladeshi board itself helped resolve the issue in a meeting with the PCB and ICC, after which India-Pakistan match The way for organizing the event was cleared. Now this competition is going to become the platform to solve the next big crisis. According to Bangladeshi media reports, BCB President Aminul Islam will also be a part of this match, where he will try to get relations with BCCI back on track.

In a statement given to Bangladeshi media, Aminul Islam said that ICC has called representatives of all five major cricket boards of Asia for the India-Pakistan match to be held on February 15. He has told that ICC wants the representatives of all five cricket boards to come together and watch this match to be held in Colombo and also talk to each other during this time. Islam clearly said that this can be considered as a step towards improving relations between us (BCCI and BCB).

Better relations with BCCI important for BCB

Recently, in the meeting of PCB, ICC and BCB in Lahore, it was decided that Bangladesh will not be punished in return for boycotting the World Cup. In contrast, the Bangladeshi board will not only be given its full revenue, but will also be given an additional ICC tournament. But it is still most important for the Bangladeshi board to improve its relations with BCCI because if, like Pakistan, the Indian board stops playing bilateral series with Bangladesh, then BCB will suffer a big loss. Due to the recent controversy, the Indian team's tour of Bangladesh this year is also currently hanging in the balance.
