City, February 12: Xiaomi is set to hold a global launch event soon, where it will unveil the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra. According to tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Pad 8 lineup will also make its debut alongside the 17 series. While the specifications for the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro have been known due to their availability in the Chinese market, new leaks reveal important details about their variants and color options ahead of the global launch.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 will be offered in memory configurations of 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, while the Pad 8 Pro will come in 8GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB variants. Both models will be available in three color options: blue, grey, and green.
In terms of specifications, both the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro are expected to feature an 11.2-inch LCD panel with a 3.2K resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 800 nits. The Pad 8 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, supports 45W charging, and includes a 13-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front camera.
Conversely, the Pad 8 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, offers 67W charging, a 50-megapixel rear camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera. Both devices share several features, including a 9,200mAh battery, HyperOS 3-based Android 16, support for the Xiaomi Focus Touch Pen Pro, PC-grade WPS and CAD support, and a quad-speaker setup.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, NFC, and an IR blaster. However, it appears that neither device will support 5G or 4G connectivity.
