Ever since Farhan Akhtar announced Don 3 starring Ranveer Singh, the highly anticipated threequel has been in controversy first for replacing Shah Rukh Khan and later for getting delayed endlessly.

After the release of Dhurandhar, it seemed Don 3 would be next in Ranveer Singh’s filmography, but there was another twist in the tale.

Reports claimed that Farhan was unsure of Ranveer’s box office pull and had approached Hrithik Roshan to play the lead role.

Meanwhile, another report claimed that Ranveer has backed out of the movie reportedly due to his dissatisfaction with the script and is now focusing on a zombie thriller titled Pralay.

And this has led to a major tiff between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar.

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have now escalated the issue to Producers Guild of India demanding Rs 40 crore, the apparent losses they incurred due to pre-production after Ranveer agreed to be a part of the movie.

The actor also alleged that the makers kept delaying the movie as they were unsure of his box office pull, and reports also claimed that makers also tried to replace him with Hrithik Roshan.

Now, in an interview with Variety India, Hrithik Roshan has broken his silence and has refuted the rumours.

He said, “What started off as just a rumour has now taken a life of its own, and it’s important to set the record straight. I would like to categorically clarify that I was never approached for Don 3 at any given time. I request the media to steer clear of any such unverified reports.”

While Don 3 seems to be on backburner, Farhan Akhtar is now reviving Jee Le Zaraa starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
