The company has issued a notification for direct recruitment to 270 Assistant Foreman (Trainee) Grade-C positions. These positions will be filled at coal mines and installations located in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, and Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. Total Position Details
A total of 270 positions will be filled under this recruitment drive. These positions are divided into various engineering branches. 148 vacancies are allocated for the Electrical trade, while 108 are allocated for the Mechanical trade. A total of 14 positions are allocated for the Electronics and Telecommunications (E&T) trade.
Educational Qualifications
Applying candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board and must have a minimum three-year diploma in the relevant trade. Candidates with a B.E. or B.A tech degree can also apply.
What is the age limit?
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and at most 30 years old as of March 5, 2026. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will receive a 5-year age relaxation, while OBCs (non-creamy layer) will receive a 3-year relaxation.
Salary and Training Information
Selected candidates will receive a basic salary of approximately ₹47,330 per month. They will also receive other benefits, including dearness allowance, HRA, and attendance bonus. The training period for E&T trades is 1 year, while for electrical and mechanical trades, the training period will be 2 years.
What is the selection process and exam pattern?
Selection will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The exam will carry 100 marks and will have a 90-minute time limit. 70 questions will be from technical subjects and 30 from general knowledge, reasoning, and aptitude. The good news is that there will be no negative marking.
What is the application fee?
The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS categories is ₹1,180, while SC, ST, differently-abled, and ex-servicemen will be exempt. Online applications will open February 11, 2026, and will be accepted until March 5, 2026, at 11:59 pm.
