Dressing up is a lot. Especially in nail care. He went to the parlor and painted his nails for hours, but on the way back home, he felt that the color was not suitable. Then there is no limit to regret. But this time artificial intelligence or AI will solve that problem. Recently, a beauty-tech company in Florida, ‘i-Polish’ (iPolish) has brought the world’s first digital and color-changing nails to the market.
The groundbreaking technology was unveiled on stage at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas. It is basically a type of ‘smart press-on nails’. The color of your nails will change as you change your clothes or mood. It does not require any remover or nail polish. No need to wait for the polish to dry separately. If a light nude shade is preferred for office in the morning, it can easily be taken to a deep red for a party at night.
How does this technology work?
The whole thing can be controlled through a mobile app. This app has more than 400 colors available. After choosing the color of your choice, place the nail inside a small ‘magic wand’ or device. Within seconds, the nail color will change like magic. This device looks like a portable power bank.

Company CEO Lance Littell said it is the world’s first digital fashion accessory. It is completely chemical free and environment friendly. This one is just as durable as normal press-on nails. That is, it can be used until the nail grows.
What’s in the kit?
This eye-polish kit includes different sizes of acrylic nails, magic wand, USB cable, glue and topcoat. The kit is priced at $95, which is roughly Rs 8,700 in Indian currency. Once the kit is purchased, subsequent sets of nails will cost as little as $6. According to the company, this technology is completely safe. However, it is important to consult a doctor if you have a pacemaker or have special physical sensitivities. Needless to say, this entry of AI into the world of styling will make fashion easier in the days to come.
