Jharkhand PSC Launches Recruitment for 355 Polytechnic Lecturers

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has initiated the recruitment process for 355 lecturer roles in polytechnic colleges across the state. This recruitment is part of the Higher and Technical Education Department's efforts to enhance educational standards.


Application Details

Candidates aspiring to become government educators in Jharkhand can submit their applications online until March 12, 2026. The application process is straightforward, and interested individuals can follow the outlined steps to apply.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the lecturer positions, applicants must have completed their education in the relevant subject area. Additional marks will be awarded based on academic performance:



  • Graduates with 60% or higher will receive 15 marks.

  • Graduates with 55% to 60% will earn 10 marks.

  • Graduates with 45% to 55% will get 5 marks.

  • Post-graduates with 60% or more will receive 20 marks.

  • Post-graduates with 55% to 60% will earn 15 marks.

  • Reserved category candidates can score above 50%.

  • A maximum of 7 marks is available for an M.Phil.

  • A PhD will earn 15 marks.

  • NET/JET or JRF qualifiers will receive 10 to 15 marks.

  • Engineering candidates will earn 7.5 to 15 marks based on their GATE scores.

  • Marks will also be awarded for research publications, teaching experience, and awards, with 20 marks allocated for the interview.


Age Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and not exceed 40 years of age. Age relaxation will be granted to candidates from reserved categories in accordance with state government regulations.


Selection Procedure

The selection process will begin with evaluating academic and achievement scores, followed by a written examination or consideration of GATE/NET scores. The final step will involve an interview.


Application Fees

The application fee is set at ₹600 for General, OBC, and EBC candidates, while SC/ST candidates from Jharkhand and individuals with disabilities over 40% will pay ₹150.


Salary Structure

Selected lecturers will receive a salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹177,500, classified under Pay Scale 9A. In addition to the salary, candidates will benefit from dearness allowance, travel allowance, and other government perks.
