India entered Super-8 by defeating Pakistan

New Delhi: The 27th match of the ICC T20 World Cup took place between India and Pakistan on Sunday, in which Team India won by 61 runs. The match was played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, where Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. India set a target of 176 runs for Pakistan, but to achieve it Pakistan team was out for only 114 runs. With this victory, India has secured its place for the Super-8.

Pakistan’s batting analysis

Chasing the target of 176 runs set by India, Pakistan did not have a good start. The pair of Sahibzada Farhan and Sam Ayub entered the field, but Hardik Pandya dismissed Farhan for zero. After him came Bumrah’s over, in which he dismissed Sam Ayub for just 6 runs. Bumrah also took the wicket of captain Salman, due to which Pakistan’s score was 3 for 13 in two overs. After this, Akshar Patel bowled Babar Azam, due to which Pakistan’s score became 38-4.

Then Usman Khan and Shadab Khan tried to take over the innings. There was a partnership of 39 runs between them, but Axar Patel dismissed Usman. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Nawaz and Tilak Verma dismissed Shadab. Ultimately Pakistan team collapsed on 114. Thus, India’s record in the India-Pakistan clash is now 8-1.

India’s batting performance

India’s batting start was also disappointing. Salman Aga took the wicket of Abhishek in the first over. However, after this Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma together took over the team. After 6 overs the score reached 52-1, where Ishaan completed his fifty in 27 balls. But in the 9th over, Ishaan was out after scoring 77 runs in 40 balls. During this, he hit 10 fours and 3 sixes.

After this, there was a good partnership between captain Surya and Tilak Verma, but Tilak was out after scoring 25 runs. Soon after this, Hardik Pandya also left without opening the account. In the end, India scored 175 runs losing 7 wickets. For Pakistan, Sam Ayub took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs.
