February brought some relief for the women of Bihar. Under the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme, the first installment of ₹10 each was directly transferred to the bank accounts of 2.5 million women in the state. This amount was released by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar via video conferencing. A total of approximately ₹2,500 crore has been disbursed under this scheme through DBT. The government states that the scheme aims to empower women financially so they can start small businesses or expand their existing work. With the first installment, women can start dairy, tailoring, grocery stores, animal husbandry, or other self-employment ventures. So, let's now explain how women in Bihar can check their status under the Chief Minister's Women Employment Scheme.

Successful Businesses Will Receive Assistance of Up to 2 Lakh Rupees

According to officials associated with this scheme, after the initial assistance of 10,000, women who successfully operate businesses will receive additional assistance of up to 2 lakh Rupees. This entire amount will not be disbursed all at once, but in four installments. The first installment will be 20,000 Rupees, in which the beneficiary will have to contribute 5,000 Rupees. The second installment will be 40,000 Rupees, in which the beneficiary will have to contribute 10,000 Rupees. The third installment will be 80,000 Rupees, in which the beneficiary will have to contribute 20,000 Rupees. The fourth and final installment will be 60,000 Rupees. This installment will be given for activities such as marketing, branding, and packaging.

How to Check Your Name and Payment Status?

If women in Bihar want to check whether the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana funds have been credited to their accounts, there are three ways to do so. The first is to visit the village organization or self-help group office to check their name on the list.

The second method is to call the Jeevika helpline number 0612-2504980/60 to obtain information related to the payment or documents.

The third method is to check the DBT entry through their bank account or mobile banking app.

Required Conditions for the Next Installment

Women wishing to receive the next installment under this scheme must follow certain rules: regular participation in self-help group meetings, weekly savings, maintaining accounts as per the established rules, and participating in government-organized training are mandatory. Additionally, beneficiaries must develop a clear business plan and open a small FD or RD with a bank.
