During the summit, the minister had announced the plan to create ‘AI’s UPI’. Just as UPI has revolutionized the payment system, similarly this will be an ‘open platform’ system. On this platform, various companies and developers will be able to create secure and reliable AI solutions.

Regarding the absence of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Ashwini Vaishnav had clarified that, “Huang has personally contacted and expressed his regret for not being able to be present due to unavoidable reasons and has sent a senior executive in his place.” He further added that Nvidia is seriously working with Indian companies to invest heavily in the AI sector.

India is focusing not only on applications, but on all aspects of AI. The minister had emphasized on 5 main layers of AI stack. Which includes infrastructure, computers, data, models and applications. Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Global CEOs are now excited to see the potential of Indian deep-tech startups and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).”

Along with the benefits of AI, the Union Minister also warned about its possible dangers. He said that together with the ministers of 30 countries, a brainstorming session is going on to stop the misuse of AI in the media sector. Deepfakes and synthetic content can become a major threat to democracy and creative industries. Strict rules and cooperation are necessary at the global level to prevent harm caused by technology.

It is noteworthy that more than 3 lakh youth, researchers and students have registered in this summit, which shows that India’s new generation is ready to take leadership in the AI field. All the sessions are currently running housefull.
